THE W1 VIDEO CODEC
VISIO-SOFT COMMUNICATIONS Inc owns a unique
video compression codec called W1. This codec is the result
of a 3 million dollars investment in research and development since
1997. Built from the ground up for security video applications,
it is optimized to save on video transmission and storage.
As an example, when monitoring a warehouse outside business hours
when there is no movement, the image size can go as low as 21 bytes
per image. This capability translate into dramatic storage
space savings when storing video image by extending by a factor
of 4 to 10 the length of recording. Similarly, video sequences
compressed with the W1 codec require 4 to 10 time smaller communication
links when transmitted over any network, when compared to standard
compression algorithms used in the market today.

VISIO-SOFT CODEC gives between 350 to 500 times the compression
of a standard still jpeg image. From 4 to 10 times better
compression than other
systems based on Mpeg4. |
 |
Provides
for 4 to 10 times more recording storage per system |
 |
And
form 4 to 10 times more camera monitoring on the same telecom
link or requires 10 times less bandwidth to do so. |
 |
Image
quality and control is unmatched and can be copied over and
over and over... |
INTEGRATED SECURITY SYSTEMS BASED ON A NETWORK
CENTRIC SOLUTION
VISIO-SOFT COMMUNICATIONS' integrated security systems
are built for networks. With all the flexibility of its TCP/IP
communication protocol, the VISIO-SOFT DVR Network will integrate
into any type of corporate network (WAN or LAN), secure communication
(VPN) or public network like the Internet( dial, xDSL, Cable, etc).
In addition, the DVR network has demonstrated its superior technology
when implemented in more stringent environment like regular dial
modem, wireless and cellular data transmission and low speed satellite
systems (extreme latency conditions). The DVR network deliver
the flexibility required to manage your security applications with
no regards to your network restrictions or limitations.
